I wonder what the chances are of a dark verdant car being on show at Goodwood. That would probably make too much sense, if anyone is there tomorrow be sure to send a pic if it's there!

I'm hoping they are there as its my first time at Goodwood, so would love to look round an Emira!  I'll get plenty of pics if it is 🙂

I'm actually driving a car up the hill for 3 days but I'm more interested to see what Lotus are bringing, hopefully an Emira in each colour with all the interior options but really want to see the red interior with my own eyes before making the final decision.

There should be 2-3 Emiras there, plus an Emira GT4.  One Eletre on the stand and one in Electric Avenue, a couple of Evijas as well.

Emira V6, GT4 and Evija running up the hill each day - some in the Supercar Run and some in the timed shootout practice sessions.

Called this yesterday, I can only imagine this is a case of out of touch old boys behind the business who just don't understand today's world. It's not hard, you leave social media and your customers to do your advertisement for you. Not having dark verdant here was a mistake.

Gray my least favourite here. Red will get a lot of “nice Ferrari”… not that’s that’s a bad thing… yellow my favourite. Like a good Portuguese custard tart!

It was great to see and hear the Emira's going up the hill today.  It was also a good chance to have another look around and seat in an Emira.  I'm happy with my choice of yellow, I just wish they'd get on with building and delivering it!

I loved the Yellow finish have to say, I checked my order whilst there and I'm still on for January apparently for the i4 version which was a pleasant suprise, need to figure out the interior quick.

Watching the video of the Emira going up the hill in the drizzle at G-FOS and it occurred to me that it must be the first factory Lotus with dual windscreen wipers since the M100 (which was Hethel's last effort to build a mass-production sports car 😟)

I made a comment on this the other day. I much prefer the looks of the Evora single blade and it does everything I want, even in a Scottish downpour. Dare I go as far as saying that I think it spoils the Emira's front end sexiness?

You're correct about the M100 having dual windscreen wipers but I have converted one of mine to a single blade. It looks fantastic but, if I'm being honest, doesn't clear the water from the screen quite as well. But it looks a helluva lot nicer 😉

OK it was based on a Opel but the Lotus Carlton/Omega had dual wipers and was launched a year after the M100, although the production run ended earlier in 1992 after just 950 units.

By the way, wasn’t the Elise a mass-produced sports car, at least by Lotus standards?
