Many GP's should hang their heads in shame.

Remember, GP's are privately run businesses and THEY decide what instructions and processes they tell the receptionists to follow.

My respect for GP's is at rock bottom as I hear too many stories like yours @Chillidoggy

Just waiting for the usual apologists to respond saying how lovely GP's are and making loads of excuses for them.

You won't hear that from me, I can assure you. In 65 years, I can honestly say I've only ever had one decent GP's surgery, sadly that was back in 1980. Since then, I've had a couple of decent GP's, but their practice management has been dreadful. For balance, any hospital treatment I've received has been very good.

The GP practice in question is shockingly bad. If you are able to comply with their bullshit rules, it's fine. But if like my old mum you're struggling with debilitating arthritis, and hard of hearing and cannot use a PC, then you might as well abandon any hope of getting an appointment, or indeed getting ANYTHING.

A bloke I know had a similar experience at his GP's surgery. Went in and the receptionist told him he had to phone up to make an appointment. At which point he pulls out his mobile, presses redial, and she turns around to answer the call from the very same bloke who's standing in front of her. He got an appointment straight away. I might try this next time.

This morning a local gardening contractor pulled up on the private road outside our house and parked his transit and trailer. Oh, one of the neighbours must have hired him, I thought. Anyway he climbs out of the cab, walks to the back of the van, has a cursory look around and then proceeds to empty his bladder all over our road. Job well done, he climbs back into the van and drives off. WTF!

No need to post a video proving his visit.

The RNLI is sleepwalking into a minefield here and as per usual the French are taking the absolute piss.

I stopped my donations to the RNLI when i heard they were doing this.

this man’s utter arrogance is unbelievable. If he had been involved earlier he could have saved lives……. He’s shutting down most of London for normal residents - maybe he should concentrate on that.

Andy Burnham the rather outspoken mayor from somewhere up north had similar views and wanted to be at the Cobra meetings.

Both just much too full of their own importance, plus Khan ought to think about how knife crime has increased in London under him. An utter imbecile!

He should change his name to "Khan't".

Given the sentiment of millions down this way, the courts would be inundated for years.

Just wondering when the mayoral elections are coming up, and what his chances are.

2nd May 2024. I would say he has no chance. I think Boris would stand a better chance of getting in than Khan't.

Wish I had your confidence, Andy.  I fear there's a very good chance that he will stay.

Completely agree! I feel that now he has had a direct effect on my life (even though I don’t live in central London) I should be allowed to vote for the next mayor of London?

It’s only metal, it cannot win!

After the Conservative Party’s dramatic contest, in which hopeful Daniel Korski stepped down following groping allegations, Susan Hall was unveiled as its candidate.

It's not started off too well for the conservatives unfortunately
