Nice looking car in an unusual colour combo. Vulcan Grey?

I used to see a late Excel in the same colours when I had my Pacific Blue Excel and that always looked smart too.

Hi Sparky,

If you take of the hubs, can you let me know the thickness off the seal? The dimensions are 48 - 62 - ( 7 or 8 ) mm (should be printed on the seal)

I know what I took out of mine but I'm not sure it is the right thickness.

I have new bearings to fit; the supplied seals are 48/62/8.

Getting that N/S aft bolt out was a sumbitch.  A long soak seemed to have little effect.  The threaded end drew out, slowly, with lots of heat, but the head end was ludicrously seized.  I expended every idea I had, and a large trade pack of expletives.  Eventually it came out, but it was pretty much glowing when it finally started to shift.  Also got bushes and balljoints out of the arms.  One was routine, the other was 'fun'.  Bunch of pics for Paul:

Having to juggle this job with grandchild-care duties, so it's coming along sedately.

I've cobbled together a new ARB bush insertion tool from bits of an old skool bush tool, a bunch of snubber washers, and a bearing race, and I'm very, very happy with it!  I can install the bush in seconds using this tool and (did I mention it?) my evil Milwaukee impact driver - no press.  It does take a huge amount of torque before that oh-so-satisfying pop.

All the other stuff is now renewed on the lower arms, and the new upper kit has been prepared.  New dampers installed.  They measure slightly shorter than the originals at full extension; it'll be interesting to see where the car sits.  It's now all ready for righty-tighty, some time in the next 48 hours...

Its Steel Blue A59 my Turbo is same colour.
