Can see a total of 10 now between Autotrader and Pistonheads only 4 actually delivered. One of the Blue private sales is actually showing photos of the Blue Lotus Driving Academy car 😏. Seem to have settled back a little on the price front. Let’s face it if you sell for £91k you will pocket over £10k, which is a pretty good payout, that is unless you had to borrow to cover in the first instance. Personally think a 10% gain over the OTR is more than acceptable. These are not Porsche’s, thankfully they are also not Beemer’s 😖.

I see the jct emira  has had a price reduction. £89,900  now. So a few K taken off. I'm not sure what to make of a lotus dealer selling the car over list prices 🤔 it just seams a bit unethical really.

Hasn't stopped Porsche dealers for decades!

You don't want to know what Tesco's actually pay for the beans they sell you! Businesses only really exist to make money.

I can see your point but everything is priced on supply & demand. Our current cost of living issue is that manufacturers have struggled meeting demand for many things post-covid so prices have increased accordingly. No different to the Emira, order one now and you've got a substantial wait or pay a premium and drive it home next week.

And yes, something Porsche are especially good at and I'm sure other main dealers have done the same on a regular and on-going basis.

Are you sure that it’s not actually SOR on behalf of a customer?

I believe it was traded in against a car from a different marque JCT also sell. I think the Lotus part of the business explained to Hethel that it was an inter-group transfer of a part exchange for another brand, rather than the Lotus team buying it in.

Now 10 Emira on Autotrader, mostly with traders some private, as the Nimbus above. Prices range from £80-95k. Not exactly being snapped up though 😏.

Oakmere sold their grey Emira within 25 minutes of going live.  Their blue one just went live yesterday, let’s see what happens. It seems the market price that works is £89,950…

👍

That beats my record of selling my red M100 within 35 mins of going live. And on April 1st too.

Notice the private one in Cornwall has gone off AT.

do you think that as more Emira's get delivered that the traders wanting around £95k will have to reduce their prices and profit margin on them. As @MJON says not selling like hot cakes.

Not selling like hot cakes? Well I have to disagree yes there are 10 on the market at the moment but at the same time the same amount have managed to sell in climate where it is tough to sell anything. I just don’t get it, so called lotus enthusiasts seem to want this car fail why?.

Lotus owners can be a queer (if you can still say that these days) lot @scotty435 as you will know :w00t:

I want the Emira to be a success as I want Lotus to be a success. As it stands, it's not a car for me as it feels like a backward move from my Sport 410, I don't want a daily driver sports car.

I want it to be a success, because if it is, the chances are they may bring out a little more hardcore model in the future that would get me excited. That I might want to buy.

I'd love a McLaren, but like a Ferrari, the potential for big bills will just keep me away (though I do and always will hanker after a 328) as actually from a speed and handling perspective Lotus gives you everything you need for the road, in my very humble opinion.

Still, if I win the Lottery a McLaren and a Ferrari will be in the garage with the multiple Lotus cars I'll buy (Exige 430 Cup, Emira GT4 (hahaha), Dry Sump Esprit Turbo, Esprit GT3 and a V8, and a RHD Evora GTE (rare as hens teeth).

Any how, I want the Emira to be a success. The world would be a much smaller place without Lotus....

God doesn't want me, and the Devil isn't finished with me yet.

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

Bizarrely Lotus’ inability to deliver cars to customers on time is probably the main reason that flippers are making a profit.

Flipper hasn't made a profit since captive dolphins became very un-PC.

See now 12 on AT, but 2 listings in Bournemouth for a DV one - may be same car?

Also wonder if these prices will be revised in light of the Emira price increase that is coming.
