I got access to ChatGPT Plus recently. Here is the image it created when asked to present a chronological history of Lotus cars. Although not one is 'correct', they are at least 'interesting'. I especially like the 2 wheelers

SD1 so lovely but for that money, I'd buy a manual Jaguar XJ6 Series One, RHD. The Jaguar was the best car of it's type in the world when it first hit the roads in 68/69. Massive waiting list.

My Dad had an SD1 2300 - rotted out within 12 months had a replacement 2600.

I'd like an SD1 one some day, but it would have to be a V8, not a diseasel. 😉

The Jag is very nice to, would be a tough choice! @jep seeing that picture (yours I take it?), I know exactly what you mean by the deeper grill.

I had a 1976 SD1 V8 manual. I loved it, there was so much space inside, it was like sitting in an armchair. But the bodywork fell off it, and the interior build quality was dreadful.

A mate of mine had an S1 XJ6, and it was arguably the best ride I've ever experienced. Body rot was an issue, though.........

My Excel parked up at the offroad site after Brooklands. I did my best to avoid the puddles getting there and then got a ride in lovely Series III with portal axles and a 4.6 V8.

And yes, he did get stuck, bottomed out despite about 20" of clearance under the diffs. I should admit he was just following instructions and I was navigating...
