Think the new GT410 at Hendy (and possibility other retailers who may have a new Evora could be open to a reasonable offer, as it will look expensive alongside an Emira in the showroom.

Mine will be for sale in "Winter 2022/23", whenever Lotus decide that is, and deliver an i4 Emira FE....

I was thinking that in a few weeks time there will be a couple of Emira's at each dealer/retailer, so someone coming in to the showroom would be able to compare the prices, before deciding to buy a Lotus or not.

That's not going to be available for long!

Agree. A low mileage minter and very well priced for a quick sale.

Hi, I'm looking for a bit of pricing help.

I've had my Evora LE for nearly 7 years now and am considering selling in the next couple of months to fund a buy to let which is both boring and very sad but time to be sensible. I'm looking at other options too so if I can avoid it I will.

Car has been used like it should be so just about to hit 60k.

2009 +2 with all the packs and a 2buluar valved exhaust which transforms the car but also allows motorway cruising.

I've serviced it with a local Lotus specialist for the whole time I've had it and prior to that it was looked after by Stratton motor company.

It was one of the original demo cars used by Lotus staff and I'm going to get the cerfiticate of provenance in the next few weeks as I've wanted one for ages.

Car is storm titanium with Oyster interior, gloss black forged alloys and the sport racer treatment with vinyl wrap on the roof, mirrors, splitter and under the doors.

Paintwork is in good condition but has a few stone ships and one scratch of note on the rear three quarters. Seats are in good condition too and have had some scuff master treatment to the bolsters prior to me buying the car. Drivers seat has become a little baggy as is typical for the age. I also replaced the bollock shifter for the later stainless one with the shift pattern. I've retained all the parts I've changed (took evora badge off as the assymetry annoyed me and also put black Lotus badging on the rear)

I have re-covered the instrument binnacle leather but air bag and dash have the standard lifting and its never bothered me to be honest as I'm looking out do the window when I'm driving.

Window trims need replacing as the rubber has perished but the car is garaged so this doesn't really bother me either as I drive it in the dry where possible.

Mechanically car is great, everything works, new wishbones last year, brakes are good with plenty of life, tyres Michelin ps4's all with plenty of tread.

It is on it's original clutch but I see no signs of problems so and although there is much talk on the forums of the clutches of these cars but to mine feels the same as it always has and I've done 30k in the car. A lot of that was motorway miles so I guess that helps.

Pricing of Evora's seems to be on the rise but also varies a lot and one of my friends has asked for first refusal.

My gut is £29,500 ish based on mileage and good but not immaculate condtion. A few months ago if have said 27k, based on a mate selling his white +0 for that sort of amount with the same mileage last summer.

Does that seem reasonable, am I low, or optimistic?

Appreciate this is a long post but I wanted to be as full as possible with the description. I drove three cars before I bought this one and every one was different especially in the gear change but this was my favourite.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Hope I don't sell and and raise the cash another way but it's my turn to compromise and I also have an Elite which I'm restoring so I'm certainly still embedded in the brand.

If you selling to a pal, I would strongly advise you are clear that he understands the car is 13 years old and could throw up a chunky bill at any time.

My NA is 2010, 73,000 miles. The last 2 years have seen £15k of bills. Clutch, gearbox, radiator, brakes. That don't bother me, I've done 24,000 miles with no depreciation but I may not feel the same if that happened early on. And I'm not planning to sell any time soon.

Of course, he may suffer no failures but best he is opened eyed. I would say the same with a 13 year old Porsche etc....

Your price seems about right, perhaps a bit high with no warranty and air bag popped but there are very few Evora NA for sale and strong demand.

Hiya, I hope I can help. Im looking to buy something similar but also a bit worried about hight mileage and not looked after(sooooped up) Evora’s.

Personally I want a clean car (as was). So therefore I’m looking at the cost to put back to original. I’m not sure if that’s me saying the wrong thing or not but when you are looking at a collectors car that’s what people want?

Great cars and can’t wait to get my hands on one.

I would say your price is probably spot on for a private sale. And, yes, the clutch replacement is a known expense on some early LE cars (~£3.5k all in at Craig Moncrieff)

Jon's Evora sounds very much like the one Chris needs to see and drive. £30-32k is now entry level for an '09 Evora, if you can find one. And good ones don't appear too frequently and don't take too long to sell either.

Good luck with the sale (you'll regret it) and good luck with the purchase

I also meant to add a note to Chris...if you found a car with a 2bular valved or non valved exhaust with 3rd cat delete, don't be too tempted to take off the exhaust and return to OEM. The exhaust note is truly wonderful and makes the Evora sound more of a supercar. That 2bular valved exhaust and de cat pipe on Jon's car would have cost the best part of £1500, exc. fitting

As Rambo mentions above, you will most likely find 'OEM+' to be ideal for early Evoras. Mine is bone stock, other than the Lotus optioned Sports exhaust, and a couple of 'preventative maintenance' items (Wizard aluminium radiator and Wilwood clutch master cylinder - both known weaknesses of early cars). The stock, non-optioned exhaust is way too quiet, whilst the Sports exhaust is poor financial value compared to a 2bular (unless you can find a used one as I did).

Thanks for the replies everyone, glad I'm not miles off the mark.

Totally agree with all of the advice re signposting potential costs to a friend and anyone in the market for an Evora has usually done their homework.

To put this car back to stock would take a very small amount as its basically removing the vinyl wrap, taking the letters off and glueing the originals back on. Gear knob can be changed simply but if replace it for a new old stock item if possible as the original is not as nice as I'd like.

I'd highly recommend avoiding the original non sports exhaust as it's very heavy and very quiet. Lotus sports exhaust would be better for OEM look but doesn't give the option of quieter running like the 2bular one. Also as 2bular do custom lotus exhausts I don't think it's seen the same way as say going to a longlife and having a fabricated version.

I'm going to make my decision in the next 6-8weeks so we'll see how things go.

Cheers again

Just to give a slightly different angle ?

I have a lotus sports exhaust as that’s what I told by lotus dealership when I bought it what it is exactly I don’t know as I have not seen underneath to identify as yet !

what I do know as I have no sport button it’s still makes a nice sound both on B roads and motorway it’s not annoying !
so I think the buyer will decide so think that some may choose differently ?
I am happy with my set up now I have BOE intake fitted too 😁

I wouldn't worry about removing the wrap - think the sports racer look is a plus tbh. Same with gear knob, you won't be putting anyone off with that, and the 2Bular exhaust.  Badge on the back I'd probably put back on though.

Unfortunately due to change in personal circumstances I too have been considering selling. Pricing I would say you’re about right. There are very little  2+2 NA about.

Based on your friend +0 I’ve seen Cat D sell for not far off £30k region too.

Mine is similar mileage, although some might think it’s high though.

I’ll be looking/ waiting for a bit more for mine, knowing it’s nice a spec and condition; and have seen some sell for more. Just don’t want to regret it as these are becoming rarer.

fingers crossed you won’t need to sell
