So sad to hear this Lee but she’s at peace know, away from the pain and suffering of the past years.

You must be very proud at the fight she put up. Her memory should be an inspiration to us all.

Look after yourself and the girls

Lee, take care, it has been very sad reading everything that has happened.

The girls will be your inspiration as you will be theirs.

And of course Alex will always be there in your minds and in your memories.

Take comfort from your wife's bravery and take joy from watching your daughters grow up.

All the best.

We have never met Lee, but please accept my deepest condolences.  I have read your updates and struggled to know what to say, although I have continually admired your attitude and dedication to Alex, her brave fight, and the twins.  Look after yourself and the girls, the achievements and memories of the time that you shared together are to be valued.

My condolences as well Lee to yourself and your girls. Other family as well as I think it was your mum that you mentioned was there as well?

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

Blessed with the competence to be a slave to the incapable.

Sorry to hear this Lee. Can’t imagine what you’ve all been through and how you must be feeling now.

Deepest condolences to your whole family, you sound like a wonderful family that faced terrible times, but you did so together. The girls will be able to look at Alex and yourself with true pride at all you did through these times. You are both an absolute credit to them, and I can only imagine at the pride you have looking back at how bravely Alex battled with dignity

All the best, and please look after yourself

Lee

no words can truly be expressed at this awful time for your girls , family and yourself.

all I can offer that time does eventually heal and allows some peace to emerge.

i faced a similar issue when my ex had stage 4 over the last 12 months and I wondered how could I tell our young 6 yr old daughter but thankfully my ex has made some recovery.

you will stay strong for your daughters that I know and Alex will always be with you

God bless all of you 💗

Walk in all those lovely memories you made with Alex often, and with the girls Lee. Will be thinking about you and the girls but know you will all look after each other. You're a unit together, be strong.

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

@CocoPops

Know you are going through a tough time and just wanted to check up on you to see how you and your amazingly strong kids are? Not heard from you for a while, so just let us know you are safe and how you are.

Hey, we're doing ok, muddling through. Thank you for asking.

Funeral was 1st Feb, the day of the HEAVY snow.. the irony as it was the weather Alex hated most. :)

Girls are good, trying to carry on as normal as we can, work are being good and allowing me flexibility around school times etc.

I started a blog https://www.facebook.com/LifeWithoutMummy/ so people can follow our progress there.

I also revisited BBC Radio Berkshire, where they did an interview piece where they linked an old interview with Alex and I, with a new piece I recorded with the host last week (about 20mins long);
