Yeah, saw that, couldn't believe it!  Imagine what that sip was worth.

British Fart to Florida, Nude to New York, Dunce to Denmark, Numpty to Newfoundland.  And Shitfaced Silly Sod to Sweden.

I would think opening it for even the slightest sip would make the value plummet as it's not longer a sealed bottle?

I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

As long as you're happy with it. Frankly I expected it to go (a lot) more? Surely they must be very rare by now.

Well, the TU-144 wasn't a lucky coincidence!  In fact, look at pretty much of all Russia's commercial airframe design.  Stunning similarities.

Might watch it, if only to see if the usual shite is trotted out about the AF Paris crash.  It'd make a change to hear some truth.

Today useless fact I’ve just read.

Golfer Jose Maria Olazábal holds the world record for the longest putt ever holed, completed during the 1999 Ryder Cup team's Concorde flight to the United States, draining a putt the entire cabin length.

The ball was in motion for 26.17 seconds, meaning Concorde, travelling at 1,270mph, had travelled 9.232 miles.

I see there is a crowdfunding project running to try and raise funds to submit a planning application to get a Concorde (ideally Alpha-Bravo by the sounds of it) on permanent display on a platform on the Thames in front of the London Eye.

If that’s meant to be a fee-paying attraction, they should at least let you go inside, otherwise you’ll just look at it for free from the path.

PS: it’s pointing the wrong way.

That'd be difficult.  We nicked all the forward cabin seats for Delta Golf at Brooklands, so they'd have to come up with some kind of alternative display as no more seats exist and they would cost a fortune to replicate.  BTW without front seats the aircraft will tip backwards, so a lot of weight or good anchorage is required.  It used to be weighted with loads of old High Life magazines, but I believe it's now anchored to the apron.

Loved the 1-11, especially on the flight deck nosing down onto the short runway at ABZ on a windy day.  Fantastic fun!

Memories of a great British aviation industry, now dismantled.
