Ah beat me to it.

Oh yes!

Looks pretty damn good to me.

Illustrates the move to more tech.

Just pleased  it has not got the indicators on the wheel a la Ferrari 😁

AH, they have purposely hidden the bottom carbon flat bottom and the top carbon surrounded Gear Change lights! 😄

If it has an engine, I am there to thrash it.

I wonder if the yellow stitching hints at yellow paintwork? Hope so, it would look great at Goodwood, as long as they employ a full-time fly swatter!

Umm. Maybe. Yellow stitching could also likely be ordered on a black, grey and blue car.

Anyway, that particular car in the image has nothing specifically to do with the cars that will be at Goodwood.

But, yes, a yellow on there would be amazing!

I;d love to see Green, orange, Yellow, Blue,  and Black/dark grey  in that order 😄

As this is a HUGE Lotus brand moment I expect to see a green car and a yellow car there  (or a green car with yellow highlights) .

If it has an engine, I am there to thrash it.

Looks good, although the paddles seem very small, so I assume they are attached to steering wheel again like current auto. Not a huge fan of that. Redline looks the same as current V6 auto. So far everything seems to be confirming what we have heard.

Edit: nvm redline looks different in each image and in the video. So its not clear.

It's 9.35am local time, and I start my grading day to a teaser on the dashboard and steering wheel of Emira: here are my humble observations

First, not good for productivity.

Second, black and silver roundel on steering wheel, I am more than ok with that.

Third, buttons on steering wheel, a lot of buttons, but not haptic feedback buttons, no no what looks like real buttons, so the "ergonomics specialist" in me who recently tried a Tesla  model 3 said yes, yes and yes.

Fourth the steering wheel shape is bespoke to the car and fits in perfectly with the dashboard behind that, i guess we expected nothing less, and the yellow stitching is gorgeous.

Fifth, the dashboard has a G-Force accelerometer front and centre, I'm guessing this track or race mode.

Sixth, is the redline at 7000rpm or slightly below 7000rpm almost looks like 6800?

Seventh, the shifting paddles are on the smaller side I'm guessing they are mounted on the steering wheel itself.

What, volume controls on the steerIng wheel? What is this witchcraft…?

🤪

No - that’s merely to make the cup holders bigger or smaller 👍

That looks great, some nice details like the yellow stitching and the black & silver logo.  I'm guessing the dash display will have several modes and maybe some options to configure it.

I really hope they get the spacing to the stalks right this time ;)

I suspect that they won’t just be straight off a Focus this time around…

Looks very nice. Buttons on the left suggest radar cruise and speech recognition. It does actually switch between ’tour’ and ‘sport’ which explains 6800rpm redline becoming 7,000rpm (or maybe even 7200rpm?). In other words same as current V6 cars.

Lotus has been working with Geely and Volvo in Gothenburg and has now a permanent office in the former CEVT unit which is now known as Uni3 by Geely, so the car ergonomics should be on point.  Come to think of that driverpoint teaser comes in early they must be pretty sure the car is a looker to reveal that much this early.

How many members and lurkers have actually seen the car already?

I thought I saw somebody on here mentioned they had seen it and my dealer had seen it and said:

"You will not be disappointed" and "it is a pretty car".

There will be some people out there who won't like it of course.

I wonder if there will be a rear wing option 😃  As the standard look won't have it if it is a mini-evija.

If it has an engine, I am there to thrash it.
