I was wondering when I saw my 'newbie' badge. Then noticed Sparky had one too, so came looking in the forum section. Should have known there would have been talks about it already. I'll learn in due time, once I spent some more time on the forum and find my way around better. 😄

Not sure if an error has been introduced with the upgrade.

Had a notification that someone had joined the regional group, clicked on the link and got this

However, it seems it isn't the notification, as the webpage is this: https:\\www.thelotusforums.com/forums/clubs/13-herts-essex-cambs-group/

Click the Clubs link (in the "Home > Clubs > Herts / Essex / Cams Group") goes here:  https:\\www.thelotusforums.com/forums/clubs/

Gives me a the club directory 2 per row with graphics, click on any of the list and you get the above error

However, if you click on the regional group link on the menu bar it goes to this link (one per row, no graphics)  https://www.thelotusforums.com/forums/forum/clubs/ 

(Above non clickable links entered via the source button to stop the software reformatting the text)

Irony! 

I did actually watch an Invision Webinar (their first ever) about the new software yesterday afternoon and the new achievements system was discussed. One of the features is that it's not public what is needed to get each badge/rank specifically to stop people posting to achieve each one. It can also be customised, we're using the out of the box settings at the moment so it can be tailored, although I'm not sure that's needed. They also discussed future plans and for us forum owner nerds there's some cool stuff coming up in the future already!

Personally, I wouldn't waste time learning and customising the gamified reward system. It is an amusing side distraction but I wouldn't have thought anyone here cares what status they are, unless there are real rewards like a new Emira associated with it  😉
