I was being jocular...I  have seen cases where a 'one' line change to a program, that was just slipped in somewhere,  caused chaos.

A few teething issues aside we're now hosted on AWS via Invision Cloud

I won't bore you but there are a lot of advantages to moving away from our dedicated server including worldwide Amazon CDN (Cloudfront) and their firewall service. After nearly 20 years we had 100GB to move which has been carried out over the last few days and today was just moving the database, hence being offline otherwise any interim posts would have been lost!

I suffered a bit of withdrawal yesterday, when I tried to sneak in a quick look at the forum before dinner.

Now everything seems to be up and running as it should, with the same look and feel so I still feel at home. 🙂

I got a 404 when I tried the forum again this arvo to put up all the puzzle results.

Then got the message that the forum had a different address. Phew. All fixed now.

There is a small script that will redirect all /forums traffic to the new address but we're doing a final sync so that'll take a day or two until it works.

Ignored topics not working again

It probably is, you'll just need to re-ignore topics as it's a new cookie due to the new url.

Let's see if that works by stopping/starting ignoring again.

Everything is now re-sync'd so we should be golden and the redirect from /forums is running too

We only moved to forums.thelotusforums.com yesterday, they probable need a while to scan it to show it's safe or something! 

Either that or I was rude to a train or something!

Since the forum move, each time I return to the website, I am presented with no forums. The ticked groups I've selected have unticked themselves.

Is this just me?

I assume you're using the 'fluid' view of the forum homepage? Since we've moved to a subdomain, delete the cookie for TLF and a new one should fix this problem for you

If it's not working for you, you can change to a different view here...

Thanks Bib. I am using Fluid, yup.

Though I don't know if this helps. It appears when I visit the site, the main "Eletre" toplevel group (the one marked 1.9K posts) is ticked, but the contents of sub groups don't appear to show content. Not sure if that is intentional.

It was working at first after the move, I'm sure, but I think the behaviour changed when the 4th sub Eletre subgroup was added, but I could be incorrect.

It's working as intended from here so I'd suggest you clear your cookie for TLF and log back in afresh.
