I showed that picture to a good friend who went to work for city services last year, after 25 years as an independent. He confirmed it was bang on, and admitted he still needed to get used to only doing what was on the job note and nothing more. 😄

Had the same near us down the middle of the former A30 main road to Cornwall, on parts that had not been resurfaced the lines were barely visible.

The yellow lines are just there to hold down the tarmac, which will all have disintegrated into grit and potholes by the end of the winter.

That must work a treat with lane assist!

My understanding is that that yellow paint on the road cannot be enforced as traffic/parking/non parking signage as it does not terminate correctly. 
YMMV.

I agree, but try telling that to a traffic warden as he slaps a £100 ticket on your pride and joy.
