Hi Mjon, when I first listed at £80k and said make me an offer over £80k, i had about 4000 advert views in a week and 10 or so people and a couple of companies contact me. Best offer was £84k and at that stage in the ownership I was happy to take that and move on but alas it fell through. Couple of days later they announced the price rise, I immediately relaxed and drove it more as the weather was ok and tried to beg the soon to be Mrs to let me keep it, i really don’t want to sell it 😂after that I was getting a lot of time wasters so I just priced some wiggle room back in and listed at £85,500 under the new OTR price, it did wash out the chancers and 2 long and drawn out buyers later at £85k and then price drops by the dealers I’ve decided to drop the price and try to find a serious buyer. I was laughing at people trying to say they had offers of £90k to try and inflate the price, I would be extremely surprised. If anyone did buy them purely to flip there was only proper money in Nov/Dec. I know for fact the BOTB guy had one of the first yellow ones and privately flipped it for £90k then disappeared off of the emira facebook page. I’m happy now to sit firm at £82,990 have had 2 people email me on first day so will see  if not I get to keep driving it, just waiting for the weather!

Out of curiosity, what is the mrs objection to the car? Is it a practicality thing, or a financial thing (if you can share)? I have a 4yo and a selling point for the Evora was the rear seats (small as they are); so if it's a practicality thing, I'd be shooting for an Evora as a replacement, at least!

No problem, nearly 30 and planning for little ones, would like to upsize house first and the money in the car prevents that essentially. I had a nice plan set out 2 years ago, but have had to adapt it. Shes not too fussed about the car but agreed the house move/babies plan could move back so I could have the car for a bit 😂 shes a goodun

Visited Hendy Exeter, 1 red one parked outside, 2 blue ones and 3 or 4 DV.  Looks as if the change to dealers doing PDI has released a back log of cars. At least there is a chance of seeing other colours.

Seems a number of cars are sat at dealers. There could be a few more for sale at the start of April. If I was looking to buy one I’d hang fire for a week or two.

Wouldn’t say ‘sat’ at dealers, I have 8 in and around the showroom, one new demo, one ex demo now for sale, one showroom car and 5 sold units. Customers might not be ready to collect, or waiting funds etc. cars are delivered more or less as soon as Lotus can and will ‘sit’ until the lucky new owner collects. That’s not to say there aren’t orphaned unsold cars being available as and when. Guess some like to think that suddenly these cars aren’t sought after!

Obviously they’re sought after, they’re an excellent car, but how many of these new sold units will end up on Autotrader? The numbers seem to rise by the week.

Simple supply and demand. For example a stunning Magma car with delivery mileage went up for sale at 89k a couple of weeks ago. As more cars went up for sale the price dropped to 83k and sold within a couple of days.

I’m only making the point that if I had a spare 80k sat around I’d hang fire.

Our demo took a deposit yesterday ! Think that mid 80’s ish mark is probably right. Lots wanting to flip which is sad when real punters want them. I don’t think it will be long before you will be able to get a car quicker, perhaps not your spec tho. Seems some who spec’d some odd combos bottled it once car was built. However there are some who Lotus will cancel their orders, some with generic pics advertised on AT with a “as new never driven due x date” never got a car as Lotus didn’t supply.

Even 27 x Emira on autotrader now.......prices remain steady.

Quite a number of them with a couple of thousand miles record.
