Evora market watch, for discussion and to help those searching!

Lovely car but then I do like them in white.  My only complaint is why the hell Lotus didn't do a carbon sail panel to match the roof and tailgate, the standard black one looks completely out of place.  Never fails to do my head in when they went to all that effort and then left the final detail missing.

It’s pretty well documented that Lotus couldn’t guarantee the weave from the roof, sail panel and louvers would match so they chose not to do it. Of course, cost was probably the real reason and the flimsy plastic sail panel is probably lighter than a carbon option. Which is why they all crack eventually!

Exactly that, trying to line up the weave over 3 body panels and ensuring panel gaps were exceptable would be impossible. That's why most large OEM's don't even use a centre line weave but a simple lay.

Also where do you stop? I think the break using the black panels including the 'A' panels works. Personal taste I suppose.

The hot climate markets had the carbon 'A' Panels and Cosmetic Roof panel but painted in black. As stated these carbon panels were actually heavier than the plastic standard parts.

The liquid blue Evora was a press car and the owner is on TLF. The vehicle has been discussed on the Launch Edition register thread. It's a car with a known history. The mods are reversible if anyone wanted to get it back to how it was when it was a press car.

Lover of everything Lotus Cars and proud owner of production Evora No.75 (2nd UK customer specced car by VIN). Originally from the Far East....of Anglia, I read black box data for a living so that could explain a lot!

Yeah the first car, the advert is super honest, which gives some confidence. You know what you are getting into, unlike the second, which might be a nice car but needs a longer chat to find out more about it.

Clutches will be fine @Barrykearley, both cars have done over 30k miles so that'll be a fairly new 3rd clutch in each car anyway, so no need to worry.

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

In over 44 years of driving I've never had to replace a clutch.

Until I got the Evora 😕

I’m on clutch change number 9 in the last 20 years. 👎 - Thankfully 0 with Evora.
